CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

As well as the co-founder and day-to-day director of #NotYourPorn, Elena is an award winning campaigner and activist. She has been part of the campaign since the beginning, joining in August 2019. Elena holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a Graduate Diploma in Law, and is currently completing her Bar professional training qualification. She has a professional background in behavioural science, humanitarian aid, women’s health and human rights. Elena is always looking to connect and collaborate with new partners and to learn from others in the field. Outside of work and campaigning, Elena likes to hike with her doggo Axel, eat pizza and look at properties on Rightmove.

SOCIAL MEDIA LEAD AND CAMPAIGNER

Amber has been campaigning with #NotYourPorn since October 2021. Alongside this, she works as a daily helpline and admin officer for a local charity that empowers and supports adults, children and young people across Kent who have been affected by domestic abuse. Amber has an Undergraduate degree in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Woman and Child Abuse Studies. As part of her studies, she has conducted research on image-based sexual abuse (IBSA) and further widen her knowledge and connections within this area. In addition to campaigning with us, Amber enjoys long walks, spending time with friends and family and the occasional cocktail!

CAMPAIGNER

Ellesha has been working with the NYP team for the past five years after becoming a victim of Image Based Sexual Abuse. She originally contacted the campaign as a survivor needing assistance with where to go next after my case was dropped by the police back in 2019. Over her time working with the campaign she has been involved in discussions with MPs regarding the IBSA laws and the changes needed to make it fit for purpose. She ha also been involved in conferences with some of the big names in the tech industry advising them on what alterations they can make to platforms to protect people from online abuse. She works with Not Your Porn around my day job as a Legal PA. She is also completing an online university degree in Psychology and Counselling with the view to become a qualified counsellor assisting victims of abuse. Outside of campaigning, Ellesha competes for a local hockey club and ,when she isn’t doing that, she enjoys going walking with her dog and she is a keen Marine hobbyist.
